Academic General Pediatrics (AGP) Fellowship
An AGP Fellowship focuses on the optimal health and wellbeing of children, particularly those most vulnerable, primarily in the outpatient general pediatric setting of academic teaching institutions.
Training programs are intently focused on developing academic skills in:
- Research
- Advocacy
- Improvement science
- Educational scholarship
Programs may focus particularly on:
- Research training
- Training in medical education and scholarship, or
- Combination focus on specific clinical skills development
Many programs include coursework leading to a master's degree in:
- Public health
- Education
- Clinical research, or
- A related field

Interested in Applying to an AGP Fellowship?
- Applicants must have completed a residency in pediatrics or combined medicine/pediatrics (although some programs also accept applicants who have completed a residency in family medicine or internal medicine)
