Priti Bhansali, MD, MEd
Priti Bhansali MD, MEd is Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is the Director of the Children’s Academy of Pediatric Educators at Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C., and the Director of Scholarship and Faculty Development in the Division of Hospital Medicine. She has served as associate program director for the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship at Children’s National and previously served as associate program director for the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Bhansali has held multiple faculty development leadership roles at the local and national level. Dr. Bhansali is also an affiliate faculty member for the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National, and her clinical areas of interest include implementing practices to address health literacy and promoting safe transitions for patients at the time of hospital discharge.
Dr. Bhansali completed her undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania and medical school at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Connecticut and began her career in pediatric hospital medicine at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center from 2006-2009. Dr. Bhansali earned her master’s degree in education from George Washington University and is currently pursuing her MBA.
