Joseph O. Lopreiato, MD, MPH, CHSE-A, FSSH
Joseph O. Lopreiato MD, MPH, CHSE-A, FSSH, FAAP received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas. He also completed work in faculty development and teaching at Michigan State University. He is currently the Assistant Dean for Simulation Education and Professor of Pediatrics, Medicine and Nursing at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, USA. He is also the deputy medical director of the Val G. Hemming Simulation Center, a 30,000 square foot (10, 000 square meters) multidisciplinary learning laboratory serving learners across the continuum of medicine and nursing. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and a member of the American Pediatric Society and the Association of Standardized Patient Educators. He was selected to the National Academy of Distinguished Educators in Pediatrics in 2023 and is the past president of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. He is certified by the Society as an advanced healthcare simulation educator.
