Presented by APA’s Medical Education Journal Club
Thursday July 7th at 12:30 pm ET

Trainee well-being is a growing focus in graduate medical education, and medical escape rooms have emerged as a fun, engaging way to teach and build camaraderie. We will discuss an article that evaluates a medical escape room activity through the lens of building workplace social capital. Are there other ways to evaluate medical escape rooms? Are they a more effective way of teaching or just another trend?

Michelle D. Lundholm, Kevin P. Simpson & Laura Ozark (2022) A medical escape room to build intern workplace social capital in an internal medicine residency program, Medical Teacher, 44:5, 546-550.
