Advocacy Campaign Program Positions
The APA is looking for individuals who are interested in assisting the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee (PPAC) in supporting the new annual Advocacy Campaign program. The Advocacy Campaign will provide APA members learning and skill building opportunities around different advocacy skills, through emails, a campaign website, webinars, and spotlighting APA members’ work. Each year the campaign will have a different theme. The 2024-2025 campaign will be on community partnered research.
Commitment (Advocacy Campaign)
- Supporting implementation of the 2024-2025 campaign
- Brainstorming and planning subsequent campaign programs (2025-2026, 2026-2027)
- Supporting evaluation of the 2024-2025 campaign
- Additional opportunities, including participating in manuscript writing
- Term: One – Three Years

The deadline to apply for either position is Monday, June 3.

PPAC Positions
PPAC is also recruiting new members of the Committee. The committee focuses on ways the APA can use scholarly work of all kinds (research, QI, education, clinical innovation) to improve child health equity and reduce health care disparities. The Committee’s work includes projects related to all areas of advocacy, including community-partnered work, as well as local, state, and federal policies.
Commitment (PPAC)
- Attending a monthly virtual meeting
- Presenting at least once a year during the PPAC meeting
- Attending the PPAC pillar meeting if you are at PAS
- Additional opportunities, including participating in manuscript writing
