Article: Dressing the Part: Gender Differences in Residents’ Experiences of Feedback in Internal Medicine
There is a growing body of literature on gender differences in feedback and assessment of medical trainees and attendings. There has been less discussion on how gender impacts the feedback experience itself. We will discuss a qualitative study that used semi-structured focus groups to explore how the experience of being assessed and receiving feedback differs between male and female internal medicine residents.
