Eligibility – Pediatric Acute Care Fellowship Accreditation

Programs eligible for APA Accreditation in Pediatric Acute Care include programs that are dedicated to the teaching of scholarly skills to fellows, exist within an institution with pediatric residency or fellowship program(s) accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education ACGME, and offer a dedicated Acute Care training program of at least 1-year duration.

Reaccreditation

APA - accreditation expires after 10 years. Two years prior to the end of your institution’s accreditation, cycle, your institution must submit reaccreditation materials. The reaccreditation process mirrors the initial accreditation process (see accreditation process).
Reaccreditation forms must be submitted between July 1 and September 1 of the year prior to your accreditation cycle’s expiration date.

Fee Schedule

Initial Application Fee: $3,000 Annual Registration Fee: $2,500 Consultation Visit: $3,000 + expenses.

Dates for Submission and Review

July 1: Applications accepted for next accreditation cycle September 1: Final date for submission of applications to be considered for next accreditation cycle January 1: Beginning of annual site visit period June 30: Accreditations take effect for the current cycle.
