Sarah Hilgenberg
Dr. Sarah Hilgenberg is a Clinical Professor of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. Highly active in the Association of Pediatric Program Directors, she was an Associate Program Director of Curriculum in Stanford’s Pediatric Residency Program for 11 years where she designed, implemented, and studied multiple innovative local and national curricular initiatives. She is a longstanding passionate mentor and sponsor in Stanford Pediatric Residency’s Medical Education Scholarly Concentration and the Department’s Pediatric Coaching and Mentoring Program. She and her mentees have won numerous grants and awards for their scholarship. In addition, she directs Stanford Pediatrics Peer Scholarship Communities Program which aims to equip clinical faculty with skills to enhance their scholarship. Nationally, she is the current Chair of the Educational Scholars Program Curriculum Committee and Associate Editor of the View from APPD section of the journal Academic Pediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, reading, gardening, doing crosswords, watching her kids’ sports games and music concerts, and spending time with her family outdoors.
