Jennifer Maniscalco
Jennifer Maniscalco is the Director of Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. At JHACH, she has led the educational arm of the hospital’s academic transformation – integrating pediatric medical education curricula into clinical practice, including expanding programs for premedical and medical students, building new innovative GME programs, and mentoring and coaching clinician educators and educational leaders.
Dr. Maniscalco completed a pediatric residency and pediatric hospital medicine (PHM) fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) in Washington, DC. Dr. Maniscalco went on to serve as Program Director for the PHM fellowships at CNMC and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and she was the Vice Chair for Education for the USC Keck School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Maniscalco has also been extensively involved in local and national educational and professional development efforts, including having served as a leader of the PHM Fellowship Directors Council and a founding member of the APEX Teaching Program, which is co-sponsored by the AAP Section on Hospital Medicine and the Academic Pediatric Association. She has been the recipient of several national education awards, as an individual and a member of leadership teams, including the PHM Award for Educational Excellence, the PHM Award for Collaborative Impact, and the APA Teaching Program Award.
