This 45-minute Catalyst webinar will help participants understand what makes an abstract competitive for acceptance at the PAS meeting and other national academic conferences. The session will include an overview of PAS expectations, key components of effective abstracts, and breakout-room discussions focused on applying those principles to different scholarly pillars.

Learning Objectives By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the purpose, structure, and expectations of PAS abstracts.
  • Describe the essential components of a clear, compelling, and competitive abstract, including background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Apply abstract-writing strategies to strengthen submissions within specific conference focus areas or scholarly tracks.
