Behavioral/Mental Health and Basic, Clinical, Translational, or Health Services Research in Any Pediatric Subspecialty Path

Eligibility

For each proposal, the young investigator and his/her/their chosen mentor(s) must be members of the Academic Pediatric Association.

Proposals are welcome from those who are:

• Faculty members no more than five years out from completion of all training (fellowship or post-doc)
• Fellows in the last year of fellowship

All applicants should be individuals who are members from disadvantaged backgrounds, including individuals from underrepresented populations, those living with disabilities, or residing in rural areas.

Previous RAPID Scholars and YIA recipients are not eligible to apply.

Proposals

RAPID Scholar Awards will be given with the understanding that the project is initiated and completed within one year. Projects kick off at the annual Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting and are expected to close by the following PAS Meeting.

Proposals should focus on behavioral mental health and health equity.

Preference is given to those proposals that have the potential to lead to projects of a larger and longer term nature.
