The role of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is one of clinical oversight and executive level responsibility for medical decisions. At Metropolitan Pediatrics, the CMO oversees clinical leadership in order to ensure and promote high quality medical care and drive targeted results in the areas of clinical quality outcomes, compliance, patient/physician satisfaction, and patient safety. We are seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) who is prepared to lead clinical excellence across the organization and support statewide pediatric leadership. This is a role for a physician leader who understands that clinical excellence, operational strategy, and population health are inseparable, and who is ready to influence all three areas of impact at the most respected and leading pediatric organization in Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Function as a clinical leader and medical advisor to the Executive Board, CEO, the partnership, and the organization as a whole.
- Leads clinical quality, safety, provider culture and value-based care
- Participate in building key external relationships (e.g., insurance companies, boards, committees, other providers), including attending high level meetings and serving on appropriate external medical committees. - In collaboration with administrative leaders, provide clinical focus when formulating and supporting the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide medical knowledge and insights for payer contracting issues. Work in partnership with administrative leaders to review and make recommendations about payer contracts and advocate on behalf of Metropolitan Pediatrics as needed.

Qualifications
- Graduate of a 4-year accredited US Medical School or
- Current active and unrestricted license as a medical physician with preference for a board-certified
- CPR certification
- Leadership experience at the executive level with MBA, MPH, or other additional graduate designations
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a private practice environment preferred.
