An APA signature program, Speed Mentoring, features 10-minutes structured conversations between mentees and mentors followed by a group goal-setting discussion. Speed Mentoring takes place at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting, the Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) meeting and regional meetings.

How it Works

Mentees and Mentors

Mentors are APA members who have been in an academic faculty position for 8 years or longer.

Mentees are APA members who are in training or in their first 7 years of an academic faculty position. Mentees should come to the session with questions prepared to make the most of the 10 minutes per mentor.
