The Division of Pediatric Primary Care Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Section Chief of our growing Primary Care team.
The Division of Pediatric Primary Care Pediatrics oversees one of the largest primary care networks in the country, providing comprehensive, family-centered care for over 147,000 children and adolescents throughout the Columbus area. The Section Chief will have a tremendous opportunity to further enhance the quality of care by providing oversight of all clinical operations within the Section and serve as a key member of a collaborative leadership team. This role works closely with the Division Chief, service line leadership and community partners to advance the mission of the Division and Nationwide Children’s. Responsibilities include implementing new clinical strategies, evaluating care efficiency and impact, improving operational processes, recruiting and retaining nearly 100 faculty and over 650 staff members, while supporting their professional development. The Section Chief helps lead a care model involving a broad multidisciplinary team that delivers comprehensive, integrated care in the patient’s medical home.
Qualified candidates must be board certified in General Pediatrics and possess a minimum of 10 years of general pediatrics experience. Candidates should hold an academic rank of associate professor or professor and demonstrate excellence in clinical care, leadership and conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to collaborate effectively with administrative and nursing leadership.
