Children’s Hospital at Erlanger and the University of Tennessee College of Medicine at Chattanooga are looking for an outstanding Pediatric Hospitalist to join our dynamic team!

  • Academic Impact: Actively engage in clinical and didactic education of our pediatric residents and students, develop curriculum and simulation activities, and work actively in direct partnership with our residency program leadership on improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise inpatient teams composed of pediatric and family medicine residents, often with medical and PA students on rotation. There are no non-teaching clinical service obligations.
  • Call from home on alternating nights while on service.
  • No more than 13 service weekends per year.
  • Swing shifts distributed equitably among our hospitalists.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement efforts with opportunities to mentor or lead projects.
  • Engage in resident and medical student education in clinical and formal/didactic environments.
  • Opportunities for hospital and departmental committee service.

Qualifications

Education, Training, & Experience

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Clinical teaching experience preferred
