Phoenix Children’s is seeking a BC/BE pediatrician to join the Crews’n Health/Homeless Youth Outreach Team, a program within the Division of Primary, Complex Care and Adolescent Medicine. The Homeless Youth Outreach Program provides comprehensive healthcare and behavioral health services to youth ages 0-25 who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, including youth in the foster care system, in Phoenix and surrounding areas. Care is provided on mobile medical units as well as licensed fixed site clinics located within local partner agencies.

This position also provides opportunities for educational leadership and participation in resident and medical student training through didactic teaching, clinical preceptorship, and mentorship. Academic appointment is available at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix, Creighton University School of Medicine, and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.

Position Requirements:

  • MD or DO licensure, eligible for Arizona medical licensure
  • Board certification in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
  • The ability to develop, foster and maintain a positive cohesive team environment.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff from a diversity of backgrounds
  • Implement trauma informed care knowledge and techniques into daily practice
