Daniel HymanDaniel Hyman, MD, MMM

Dr. Daniel Hyman currently serves as the Chief Medical and Patient Safety Officer at Children's Hospital Colorado. Dr. Hyman was previously the Chief Children's Quality Officer and the Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Care at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in general pediatric practice in the Philadelphia area and also served as Medical Director for a Physician/Hospital Organization at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He received his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed a Pediatric residency at CHOP, and received a Master's Degree in Medical Management from Tulane University.

Dr. Hyman has served on numerous national leadership committees engaged in improving pediatric quality and patient safety and currently serves on the Clinical Steering Team for the Children's Hospital Solutions for Patient Safety Network (CHSPS). He also co-chairs the Measurement Sub-Committee and Patient Family Engagement team for CHSPS. He previously served on the Children's Hospital Association (CHA) Quality and Performance Improvement Board Committee, Child Health Quality Council for National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions, the Strategic Policy and Advisory Committee for the National Institute for Children's Health Quality, the Patient Safety Team for the CHA Patient Safety Organization, and the Steering Committee for the Quality and Safety Leaders Forum for CHA.

Ralston ShawnShawn Ralston, MD, MA, MS

Dr. Ralston is a pediatric hospitalist whose primary research interest is in acute viral bronchiolitis and multi-center quality improvement collaboratives. She is the chair of the AAP Bronchiolitis Clinical Practice Guideline Committee and currently serves as Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She is also editor-in-chief of the scholarly journal Hospital Pediatrics and a co-author of the Dartmouth Atlas of Children's Health Care.
