Ray E. Helfer was an esteemed pediatric educator, child advocate and past President of the APA. This award is granted to the best medical education abstract submitted to the Annual PAS Meeting by a non-trainee APA member which meets the criteria for creativity/innovation and impact on pediatric educational practice. Either the first or last author must be a current member of the APA to be considered for this award. The abstract also must be submitted to the topic area “Medical Education”. If the first author is a trainee, please see the APA Trainee Award for Innovation in Pediatric Medical Education.
A committee of the Academic Pediatric Association selects the winning candidate, and the award will be presented to the author at the session (Platform or Poster) in which the abstract presentation is scheduled.
