Joining the APA FLEAT Academy is an excellent way to work with a group of passionate medical educators at a national level. The group is primarily responsible for providing accreditation for general pediatrics fellowships, organizing an annual Fellows and Trainees Conference, and coordinating the match process for AGP fellowships.
As a Fellow Representative, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly FLEAT meetings
- Lead the Trainee Engagement subcommittee and provide updates at FLEAT meetings
- Participate in planning the Fellow & Trainee Conferences
- Participate in one additional subcommittee or assist in developing additional projects/initiatives
All 1st or 2nd year fellows in Academic General Pediatrics, Urgent Care, Global Health and Hospital Medicine fellowships are eligible to apply. If you are not already a member of the Academic Pediatric Association, you will need to become a member in order to be considered for the position. If the membership fees will pose any significant financial hardship for you, please contact us to discuss possible alternatives.
