Virtual Poster Presentation Sessions

Monday, August 10 at 4:30pm EDT
Friday, August 21 at 5pm EDT

Each session will feature two poster presentations of health literacy-related research with time for discussion and networking. Please see the learning objectives and agenda below.

 

Objectives

At the conclusion of these sessions, learners will be able to:

August 10 session:

  • Recognize and classify medical jargon use, particularly in the inpatient setting.
  • Discuss sources teens and young adults consult regarding CBD use, and assess their CBD knowledge.

August 21 session:

  • Describe the effectiveness of a care path in improving parents’ knowledge and confidence to care for their infants with BPD after discharge.
  • Determine if parental health literacy scores are higher for experienced parents compared to 1st time parents.
