On behalf of the PAS Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Caroline Rose Paul as our PAS 2024 Workshop Chair-elect. Dr. Paul will serve as Workshop Chair-elect from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, under the guidance of our current PAS Workshop Chair, Dr. Barrett Fromme. On July 1, 2024, Dr. Paul will transition to the PAS Workshop Chair position and will serve through June 30, 2026, for the PAS 2025 (Honolulu) and 2026 (Boston) Meetings.
As Workshop Chair-elect, Dr. Paul joins the Program Committee Leadership Team and the recently formed PAS Workshop Committee, a subcommittee of the PAS Program Committee. Created in response to the growth of workshop submissions and related activities, the Workshop Committee is focused on oversight of the submission, review, and selection of workshops for the PAS Program. Dr. Paul’s extensive expertise as a medical educator, experience in faculty development, and deep understanding of the important contribution workshops make to the PAS program, positions her well to contribute as Chair-elect and then to lead the Workshop Committee as we continue to enhance and innovate the PAS Meeting’s Workshops.
We extend our sincere thanks to all those who submitted applications for the PAS Workshop Chair-elect position. The selection decision was challenging due to the strength and depth of the candidate pool. We are grateful to those who were willing to be considered and to the members of the Workshop Chair-elect Selection Task Force who gave generously of their time to ensure a rigorous review and selection process.
