APA Membership Categories and Rates

*APA's membership cycle coincides with the calendar year. Individuals who join the Association within the last quarter of the year will not be billed for dues in the New Year. This only applies to new members.

Residency Program Group Memberships

  • 20 or less Residents - $35 per resident
  • 21-40 Residents - $750 flat rate
  • 41-60 Residents - $1000 flat rate
  • 61-80 Residents - $1500 flat rate
  • 81-100 Residents - $2000 flat rate
  • 101-139 Residents - $2500 flat rate
  • 140 or more Residents - $4000 flat rate

Individual Memberships

  • Trainee Membership - $50 annually (or 3 years for $150)
    • Undergraduates, Residents, and Fellows qualify for our Trainee Membership
    • Gets access to the e-journal
  • 1st Year Post Trainee Membership - $250 annually
    • Anyone their first year immediately following training qualifies for the 1st Year Post Trainee Membership
    • Gets access to the e-journal
  • Non-Physician Membership - $250 annually (or 3 years for $750)
    • Allied health professionals (for example, nurses, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants) qualify for the Non-Physician Membership
    • Gets access to the e-journal
  • Physician Membership - $425 annually (or 3 years for $1,275)
    • Any physician, 2 or more years post-training, qualifies for the Physician Membership
    • Gets access to the e-journal
  • Emeritus Member - $230 annually
    • An individual who has been a member of the Association for ten or more years and who is retired from gainful employment may apply to the APA for Emeritus Membership
    • Emeritus Members have full membership privileges
