Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Fellowship Director as we embark on our journey to begin an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship. The ideal candidate will have experience in a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship administration, ACGME regulations, and curriculum development for a wide variety of learners.
Position Highlights –
- As Program Director, you will lead the process for attaining all steps of the application and designing the program with strong support from our Division Chief and department leadership.
- Clinical work will primarily be in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, although clinical activity in adult Hospital Medicine is also possible
- Enjoy an academically rich environment where you will work closely with medical students, pediatric and med/peds residents, and fellows with a faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School- Baystate. Our satellite medical school offers a Population-Based Urban & Rural Community Health (PURCH) track which matriculates 25 medical students per year who focus on innovative approaches to clinical medicine, community engagement and policy/advocacy.
- Baystate Children’s Hospital (BCH) is the only fully accredited children’s hospital in Western Mass with 107 beds (55 NICU, 7 PICU and 45 CHAD) and a dedicated pediatric ED. Baystate Children’s Specialty Center houses 9 ambulatory pediatric subspecialties.
- The Birthplace at Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC), located in our community hospital in Greenfield MA, is a level 1 nursery with approximately 450 annual deliveries. BFMC is an academic center with a family practice residency recruiting its first class of residents for the Spring of 2022.
- Our PHM Division consists of pediatric and med/peds trained faculty with robust experience as clinical educators. Most patients are resident covered and we do not provide NICU or PICU coverage.
