The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a Division Chief to lead and expand our Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. This full-time Pediatric Hospital Medicine position will work along-side an established group of faculty, medical students, residents, and fellows to provide and lead clinical care delivery in our new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. This 10 story, 650,000 square foot, facility which opened in February 2020 boasts 2 acute care med-surg floors with sweeping views of the Ashley River and historic Charleston from every room.

About this role:

  • Board certified in PHM and eligible for SC licensure
  • Strong commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based medicine in teaching and practice
  • Experience in quality improvement project development and leadership will be strongly preferred to develop and refine new and innovative care processes in this state-of-the-art hospital
  • Newly approved ACGME fellowship with two slots open each year
  • Academically productive Division involved in local and national research teams
  • Opportunities to strategically develop community based PHM services
  • Strong track record within our Division supporting career development both locally and nationally
