1.The UTMB Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Child Abuse Pediatrician (CAP). The program interfaces closely with Galveston County Children’s Protective Services personnel, staff at the Galveston Children’s Advocacy Center, Law Enforcement personnel and the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. The CAP provides formal consultation to regional CPS Staff in the East Texas Region and provides training for CPS and advocacy staff in a 19-county region. Local, state, and federal funding supports a substantial portion of the CAP activities. Pediatric Residents rotate through this service for 2 weeks as part of their requirements.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience – Medical degree from an accredited medical college or school, current unrestricted TX state medical license, BC/BE eligibility in Pediatrics, Child Abuse Fellowship training.

2.The UTMB Department of Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent and Behavioral Medicine is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our mental health team. The team currently consists of three Psychologists, a Ph.D. (in Social Work), a LPC and a LCSW. The Division also includes two Developmental/Behavioral Pediatricians and an Adolescent Medicine Pediatrician who serves as the Division Director. Integration of behavioral medicine into patient care has a long and respected history in the Department and is facilitated by mental health providers being embedded in clinic space that also includes Ambulatory and Subspecialty clinics.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience: Ph.D. from an APA approved Psychology program, current Texas State license for Psychologists, completion of an APA approved internship with emphasis in Pediatric and/or Child populations.

Compensation: A generous base salary is offered and is based upon Academic rank and experience with an obtainable RVU bonus program. Additional benefits include a relocation allowance, a superior family benefits program and an unsurpassed state retirement program.
