The Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program within the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine/Komansky Children’s Hospital is delighted to recruit a newborn hospitalist to join our team in Summer 2023. Academic rank at the time of appointment with be commensurate with experience and credentials.

We are currently a team of over 20 hospitalists and work closely with our interdisciplinary colleagues. Our program provides care for newborns at 2 well baby nursery sites (at our academic center and a community campus in lower Manhattan).  We have a shared PHM fellowship, and many of our faculty are PHM BC/BE. In addition, our team is very involved with education throughout the continuum with leadership in the residency and medical school education programs.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Holds an MD, DO, or other equivalent medical degree
  • Has outstanding communication skills while engaging with families and primary/specialty services
  • Has an interest in research/scholarly projects
  • Has an interest in teaching trainees at all levels
  • Is excited to be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team and contribute to program development

Benefits include a competitive salary, health, dental, retirement, child college tuition support and paid malpractice coverage.  Salary range is $165,000-$182,000 (Assistant Professor range)
