General Pediatrician, Assistant or Associate Professor – F69050
The Division of General Academic Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU is recruiting an additional full-time academic general pediatrician to join our growing team. Our faculty provides primary care for children and adolescents through age 21 at a major urban academic medical center.
Our division’s mission is to strive for the advancement of healthcare for our community’s children by integrating excellent patient care, quality medical education and innovative clinical research and patient advocacy into our programs.
The faculty at VCU shares a common commitment to providing exceptional clinical care to children as well as providing a quality education to trainees. There are opportunities for teaching and supervision of medical and graduate students and pediatric residents. Candidates will have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Responsibilities will include:
- Primary care clinical services
- Newborn nursery inpatient clinical services
- Participation in resident and medical student education and evaluation
- To develop and oversee Quality Improvement (QI) projects for the Division of General Pediatrics
- Involvement in divisional/departmental collaborative research and advocacy focusing on children’s health.
Candidates must be Board Certified or eligible in Pediatrics.
Candidates are therefore expected to have excellent administrative, clinical and teaching skills and a strong interest in clinical research, quality improvement, or population health initiatives.
