The Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest School of Medicine/Brenner Children’s Hospital is seeking an Academic General Pediatrician to join our faculty.  This is a full-time opportunity with primary roles in academics and clinical service.  The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

 

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Pediatrics
  • Strong clinical and teaching skills
  • Experience in and dedication to scholarly activity in research, quality improvement, and/or education

 

General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is a strong collaborative section composed of 20 pediatricians across all ranks and three APPs. Clinical care provided by the section includes the primary care clinic, which is a certified patient-centered medical home for an underserved population with more than 17,000 outpatient visits annually and is the primary teaching site for the residency program. Our providers also staff the newborn nursery in a state of the art labor and delivery suite and mother baby unit that opened in July 2019.  The child protection team and pediatric rheumatology are also members of the section.  All faculty members are active in a wide array of scholarship including clinical research, advocacy, quality and safety and education.
