Children’s National has an immediate opening for a full-time pediatrician to join our medical staff and provide Fast Track clinical care and teaching in our emergency division.

The Division of Emergency Medicine at Children’s National provides acute and urgent pediatric care for the majority of children living in Washington DC, with over 120,000 annual visits across our 2 sites annually.  Division members teach evidence-based acute and emergency medicine to the next generation of pediatric health care providers, and pursue advocacy, quality improvement, and education around issues important to child health. The division houses innovative fellowships in addition to PEM such as the pediatric acute and urgent care fellowship, and pediatric ultrasound fellowship, in addition to our own pediatric toxicology service.

Children’s National Medical Center is a tertiary care teaching hospital and serves as the primary pediatric teaching site for the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Science. Children’s National is the only hospital in the greater DC region exclusively dedicated to the care of children and was named as a top 10 children’s hospital in the U.S. News and World Report Survey for the fourth year in a row. The hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center.  We deliver comprehensive, world-class health care in more than 30 pediatric specialties. Children’s National offers a competitive salary and benefits package and opportunity for professional growth and advancement.

The Washington, DC area is a great place to live with a variety of options for lifestyle and recreation. In addition to numerous art museums, galleries, theatres and restaurants, DC has easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beaches of the Eastern Shore. The climate is mild with warm summers and snowy winters, along with beautiful falls and springs.
