The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a board certified/board eligible physician to join our Pediatric Hospital Medicine team in the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Candidates should have a strong commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based medicine in teaching and practice. This full-time Pediatric Hospital Medicine position will provide clinical care in our children’s hospital located in the beautiful city of Charleston South Carolina. As we expand our service in the new children’s hospital we have an interest in developing a cadre of strong clinical faculty to deliver care on the medical and surgical units. Candidates will work along-side an established group of faculty who have been successful within quality improvement, health services research, information technology, mobile health/telehealth, global health, and medical student, resident, and fellow education. Our long-standing, successful PHM Fellowship program fills two positions annually. Candidates with experience in quality improvement project development and leadership will be of high interest to develop and refine new and innovative care processes in this state-of-the-art hospital. The Division has a strong track record to support career development both locally and nationally. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
