The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Associate Professor or Professor level to serve as the Division Chief to the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. The successful applicant will establish comprehensive gastroenterology services within MUSC Children’s Health System. Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching, research work, administration, institutional service and professional development.

 

For 2020-2021, MUSC’s Pediatric Gastroenterology program was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 program in South Carolina and Top 50 in the nation.


Ideal Candidates have:

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Eligibility for a South Carolina Medical License
  • A willingness and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed organization
  • Suitable organizational sophistication and high emotional intelligence
  • Background in the principles of value-based operations management (including lean and six sigma), quality and safety (including high reliability and just culture)
